Torment tides of numenera abilities

PS:T is one of the greatest games I've ever played but unfortunately Tides just didn't hook me. If the aim was to do justice to what many consider to be the best game of all time, for me it failed and really if you can't convince the uberfans, you have no chance at with the masses. But it was nowhere near what was expected or promised, you might say. The game is good and I enjoyed it for what it was. It was hugely delayed losing any momentum it had and what was released was clearly a rushed out heavily cut version. Suggesting that the message wasn't getting across very well that it was inspired by and not a sequel to PST.Īdditionally, and I say this as a fan of both games, and as someone who Kickstarted and followed the project, the game doesn't live up to its lauded sire. Asking if they needed to play the first game to understand this one. If some of the comments in this thread are anything to go by people were confused how this game relates to Planescape. The reality must be that not as many people give a shit about Planescape Torment than expected. Its the same reason that Bladerunner 2049 is commercially failing despite critical and niche appeal. I think its because they were making a sequel to a critically loved cult classic that in reality was a niche title.
